J Something was born in Portugal but moved to South Africa with his mother Maria when he was seven years old. J Something is not just a vocalist but also a chef. He has a cooking show called ‘Something is cooking’.

The multiracial couple was blessed with their firstborn son in 2017 and they have been married for six years. Before he found fame J’Something was introduced to Cordelia, by bandmate Mo-T. They bumped into each other again later at a party, but both were dating other people at the time. “At the time our paths could not meet and then, later on, life happened,” the singer told Gareth Cliff in an interview.
