When did Simmy get a break through?

Simmy auditioned for SA idols and SA has got Talent but was unsuccessful. This encouraged her to keep on perfecting her soothing vocals incorporating her brother’s R’n ‘B influence. In 2013 Simmy met Sun El Musician through his young brother and she sang for him he was impressed. However, she couldn’t work with Sun El because she wanted to complete her studies before working on her music career.

In 2017 Simmy was signed to El World Music and she began working with Sun El on his ‘Africa To The World’ album. When the album was released, songs that she featured on especially ‘Ntaba Ezikude’ became fan favourites and received massive airplay.
