Zamani Mbatha made his first debut screen appearance on the TV drama “Isithembiso” on Mzansi Magic in 2017. Zamani did not receive any acting lessons or training. Zamani wanted to be a soccer player but that did not work out so he pursued acting. “I was in high school last year, this is my first job, my first everything. Before this, I wanted to be a soccer player but that did not work out, but I have always known that acting was my calling” he said in an interview.

After three seasons, Mzansi Magic canceled the drama series. This was heartbreaking but Zamani has managed to get a recurring role on Rhythm City as Pule Ndlovu. He also scored a role in the Netflix drama series called Jiva.
