Early Life

Lamiez Holworthy was born on June 12th, 1992 in Eersterust, South Africa but grew up in Laudium. She was born to a coloured Indian mother and a black father.

Lamiez attended Andrew Anthony Primary and then attended Sunnyside Primary and later on, Kwaggasrand Primary. She also attended Pro Arte Alphen Park from grade 8 to 9 and in 2009, she matriculated from Laudium secondary. After she matriculated she enrolled at Boston media house in 2012 to study media.

Career

Lamiez worked as an underground DJ for a couple of years before she entered the entertainment industry in 2013. Lamiez revealed that her mother made sure that she had all the Deejaying equipment that she needs, regardless of the struggles that her family passed through.

Lamiez was a guest DJ at Tshwane FM on DJ Malwela’s show in 2013. She then scored her own show which aired every Wednesday. She also landed the role as host of the Lifetime show, Living The Dream which aired on Tshwane TV.

She got her breakthrough when she became a host of the popular SABC1 show, Live AMP. She shared that she almost gave up her dream just before she landed the role. While auditioning for it, she unfortunately got in a car accident and her Deejaying equipment got stolen from her car.

Ever since her breakthrough, the beauty has achieved a lot in her career and she is not done yet.
