Ricardo dos Santos Nascimento was born and raised in Ilhéus, Brazil. He is an international football player who has played in Brazil, Romania, Portugal and South Africa. Nascimento currently resides in South Africa.

Ricardo Nascimento kick started his professional football career at Pallmeiras in Brazil in 2007. After making no appearances for Palmeiras, in 2008 Nascimento joined Olé Brasil. He spent the following seasons on loan at Penafiel followed by Portimonense from 2009 -2011 .

Nascimento returned to Brazil joining Romanian football with Astra Giurgiu in 2011. He again spent the 2012–2013 season with Portimonense. In 2013 He joined Moreirense on loan. Nascimento entered Primeira Liga with Académica, in Portugal in 2014.

In 2016 the soccer star joined South African football club, Mamelodi Sundowns and his contract was renewed in late 2020. Ricardo has served the Brazilians well, as they lifted the ABSA league title twice and also the CAF Super Cup.
